Feldenkrais
Feldenkrais is a powerful somatic discipline that uses gentle, mindful movements to improve physical and mental well-being.

Originally developed by Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984), a physicist and engineer who was also a keen footballer and later became a Judo expert, the Feldenkrais Method has developed a strong following in many parts of the world, including the US, Europe and Israel.

There are two broad aspects to the Feldenkrais Method:
-
Awareness through movement (ATM) – In ATM classes the teacher guides students through a series of slow, mindful movements with a view to helping them to learn new ways of moving which enhance strength, flexibility, and overall integration of mind and body
-
Functional integration (FI) – FIs are private one-to-one sessions in which the teacher uses touch to help the student to explore new ways of moving and organising the body.
For further explanation and information, see the The UK Feldenkrais Guild.

I run regular weekly ATM classes and also offer FIs at times to suit the individual client. Please contact me for further details.
