We are our bodies. It's as simple as that.
My goal is to help the people I work with to inhabit their bodies more fully. I've seen the many benefits this can bring such as:

My teaching is based principally on the Pilates and Feldenkrais methods but also incorporates elements from other somatic disciplines such as Tai Chi, Yoga and Antigymnastique - as well as insights from a lifetime of sports and other physical activities.

I am based in the Highgate/Muswell Hill/Crouch End area of north London and teach from my own studio in Onslow Gardens N10 overlooking Queen's Wood and other local venues.

I endeavour to ensure that my teaching is always tailored to the needs and goals of each individual - every body is different.

I have suffered from lower back pain for many years, which a long course of NHS physio made absolutely no impact on at all. James, however, taught me a series of simple Pilates exercises that I was easily able to do at home. And the results have been miraculous – I have been mainly pain-free ever since. ...
